Yeah… my Husky has ZERO treat motivation. No food motivation at all. Makes everything so much more difficult. No toy, treat, any reward is not high enough for him when he is distracted. MAYBE petting, that is his only reward he goes for, but only when he’s super tired or not distracted at all. He will never take a treat when on a walk. I think it’s just the Husky “I must work all day every day” mindset
I watched this part way through wnrt outside and walked, my GSD lunges at people and dogs. Made the leash re-direct with partial success. Next another dog and walker coming< I did the wrong thing, grabbed his muzzel to make him look at me, should have watche the whole video.
I just rescued a 110lb gsd with leash aggression. I've been keeping him a fair distance from other dogs, but every once in a while I try to test him by moving closer.
The closer he gets, the crazier he gets. He starts whine, jump and spin, so I bring him to a safer distance. But the last time I tried my little experiment, I got bit.
Previously, the worst he ever did was stand up and push me back, scratching my chest with his paws. But this time when I corrected him he spun around and full out took a bite of me. It hurt bad, and I admit I was afraid.
I was really pissed off and in pain, but I didn't freak out on him, although I wanted to. I'm not sure i can train him out of this if he continues to threaten me.
My doberman's brain cannot calm down. I have to cross the street when another sig is walking towards us on a sidewalk. She cannot walk oast any dog that is close to her. Treats do help amd what I will do is hold a treat to her nose and say leave it when ahe starts to see a dog. She is so focused on the treat that if I am sort of far away like across the atreet she wont bark but will focus on the treat. But its very hard. Shes reactive all the time when we are out with other dogs. Once when we walked past someone that was very close to us sne gave him a small nip. That only happened once amd I have no idea what brought that on other than that he was quite close to us bc we were on a narrow sidealk. The leash was short too.

To be fair "oh hes got long hair oh hes looking at me oh hes getting close" activates my flip out too hahah
My dog tries to get over to people more than dogs it’s so annoying she can’t pull me where she wants I don’t have control at all
Can’t use a gentle leader my dog has no snout much she gets it straight off hates it
At what point are you allowed to just snap and yell at your dog when all tactics fail. So frustrating walking an upfront reactive dog
Can you give me the name of the lish you used around the mouth thanks

Sorry. This is not what I call a reactive dog and he wasn’t even brought into close proximity to another dog.
Great channel. Subtitles with the TIPS are great
I wish I could do the door training. My house would be crawling with flies if I did. Our only goal in the summer is to get out ASAP.
I played this video too loud, now my dogs realize they might not be the best boys in the whole wide world. Use headphones people!
If I had the money I would take my dog and travel to you for help.❤
Comments are Hysterical. “Leash Reactivity” is the Subject. NOT A LIMP, or his tail is short.

Al cane non é concesso annusare?
He's limping
How in the world do I do this if I don’t have a second dog to work with?
This dog is a little uneven/lame. Good info.
5:52 THANK YOU OMG
My shepherd I am working with, could have chicken breast on gis tongue and he will spit it out.
Thank you for this video!! I learned a lot!
I pop my dogs leash and it's so fixated that it's neck is still and has no reaction to the pop. What to do?
What if you have an extremely strong dog that when he freaks out he pulls super hard? Will the gentle leader hold him?
@beckman'sdog I'd love to know how to become a professional dog trainer. Thanks
Also don't ever lean down towards a dogs face…this guy is a weirdo…he also slows down when the dog does.
my dog has this problem but how can i reward him when he’s does good ? he doesn’t even want to look at a treat when he’s outside .
